Let's move on from the Maholm talk and discuss the next one. Cubs go into Miami having lost all three of their series so far this season. The rotation starts their 3rd trip around with Dempster taking on Josh Johnson, who has been decidedly mediocre so far this year. Probably going to be plenty of Zambrano and Guillen talk this week.

Oh yeah, this is also tax deadline day this year.

In years past, seeing that we're going up against Josh Johnson would be depressing. In his first two starts, however, he's been bad.

Hopefully our bats see the ball well against him. Although going off history, it doesn't look good for us.

No Ramirez either. At least we still have Castro and his horrible intangibles.

@ESPNChiCubs Wood flies home for cortisone injection in shoulder. Should be ready to pitch Fri.

@KevinGoldstein Pro tip: When pitchers are getting cortisone shots in their shoulder before the season is two weeks old, that's not a good sign.

Go get Bowden, bring up Beliveau, etc.

atleast on my comcast tv schedule it says it switches to blackhawks pregame at 7:30 so only 1 and a half hours dedicated to the cubs game. This true for anyone else? I'm wondering if it's true, and if so who the hell is gonna carry the rest of the game if comcast abandon's it half way for the blackhawks?

No mention from len and bob yet about alternative programming options. This is very unproffesional of comcast.

Ahhhh, those empty seats are so [expletive] glorious

How bad is it?

Also on an unrelated note, it's nice of Dempster to try his best to make it easier for Theo to trade him in June.
