I don't think LaHair is a starting caliber player, but I'd love for him to prove me wrong. For my interpretation of the purpose of this season though, he should be starting every day. He has potential value (even if it isn't much there's still some there), Baker doesn't really have any value at all.

LaHair turns 30 this year. I think protecting his numbers by platooning him does as much if not more to his value than showing a trade partner that he might be a 2nd division everyday starter at 1B.
