Winn is a steal, and would work really well for the Ravens IMO. He's got some similarities to Darnell Dockett coming out of college including great athleticism and explosiveness for his size (as well as good upper body strength) as well as the ego to go with it. Also a good compliment to the guys the Ravens already have since he now becomes their most explosive guy on the DL.

49ers:

Casey Hayward, CB, Vanderbilt

If anybody doesn't want to continue to Round 4, let me know either here or via PM. I'm guessing there will be enough interest, but if enough people drop out then we'll stop after the third round.

Next 3 picks:

94. Giants (gooney)

95. Raiders (soccer10k)

96. Rams (Snayke)

Again, if anybody isn't sure they'll be available to make the pick, shoot me a PM with your top 4 choices.

Hmmm... not sure where to go on this one. Toon/McNutt/Joe Adams/Streeter is who I'm looking at, but I'm not sure who would be the best fit for the Pats. Then again, they would just go for best value and pick anyone.

How far will Alonzo Dennard fall in the real draft after assaulting a cop last night?

Very far. Arrested within a week of the draft. Questions about his speed to recover and stay with WRs in man coverage. Based on his last collegiate game, questions about his ability to handle big WRs. He is in a lot of trouble. Better hope someone takes a risk with him in the 5th or 6th, or else he's not going to be drafted at all.

gooney asked me to make this pick. Giants select Tyrone Crawford, DE, Boise State.

High upside, developmental guy who will fit well behind the Pierre-Paul/Tuck/Umenyiora(maybe) group at DE. Mike Martin was also a possibility, but Crawford seems to fit a bit better.

The Raiders are now on the clock and soccer10k finally gets a pick. I'll PM him.

What are the thoughts about doing a 4th round? I tend to doubt we'd be able to get through the entire 4th round before Thursday night, unless we shorten the time per pick (12 hours maybe?). Do we go ahead and see how far we get, start a mock 2.0 and redo the first round, or just quit off after soccer10k picks?

Cut the time down to 12 hours is my pick. If there's enough interest, I wouldn't mind having some sort of contest with people doing first round mocks.

The Raiders select [insert fastest player available here].

Oh wait, Al Davis is dead. Nevermind.

Any suggestions here on best players left? I have no idea who is available.

Not really. Just looking for a good value.

Safety hasn't really been picked that much, it's a fairly good value here. There's also a running back or two (Robert Turbin in particular) who are pretty good values. Wide receiver is another.

A lot of it depends on personal preference, though. I don't think there's any obvious great value left on the board.

I don't know who Robert Turbin is so I'll take him since Bush left.

Ok, we'll move on into the 4th round and cut the the time per pick down to 12 hours. Hopefully that'll allow us to get through the entire round by Thursday night.

Next 3 picks:

97. Colts (CCP, Exile)

98. Vikings (hawkeye)

99. Texans (sulley)

If you're not sure you'll be able to make the pick or need help with it, feel free to post here or PM me.

I don't think the Raiders have a pick until the end of the fourth so if it gets there you can make my pick for me.

Turbin's a shifty running back from Utah State.

Shifty isn't the word I would use for the 230 pounder. I kind of see him as a Shonn Greene clone.

Yeah, not sure what I was thinking there. I might have been confusing Turbin with Utah State's QB from last year (Keeton, I believe) who is pretty shifty, and exciting. Or I might have been confused because I was posting right after I woke up.

This teammate, Michael Smith, is a pretty underrated athlete and comes much closer to the shifty term. I like Smith quite a bit as a sleeper...
