So he could have been interviewed for 45 minutes from late Thursday night until Friday morning

He should have learned the lesson from the original incident - not much good happens after midnight.

LOL. The hits just keep on coming for the Cubs. Just another kick in the balls to Cubs fans. I wonder if Theo has a projection system that estimates how a former star shortstop would do at age 28 coming out of a 5 year prison sentence?

This is America. You don't go to prison for 5 years for something petty like rape. You've gotta get caught with DRUGS to do any real time.

The problem with the justice system in regards to more serious crimes like rape and murder as opposed to drug possession and petty theft is that it's a lot easier to prove the latter, thus those types of offenders are more likely to serve time. I assure you that a convicted rapist will serve more time than someone getting caught with a dime bag or even caught with a trunk full of cocaine.

That is just absolutely not true, man. Are you aware that they hand out LIFE sentences for like... a few kilos of cocaine? I personally know someone who was arrested with 280 hits of LSD before they were even old enough to drink, and they will be an old man when they get out of prison. It was of course a class X felony. Meanwhile, convicted rapists ROUTINELY get out of prison in less than 5 years. Just check your local sex offender database. I am sure that you will find plenty that are out on probation or parole after serving only a few years. Even child sex offenders don't get any serious time.

Our country is a MESS.

I'm sure there's a politics thread somewhere if you want to talk about this.

FWIW, according to a Tweet by Bruce Miles, the cover of the Cubs pocket schedules was changed, removing Castro.

Does this not concern anyone else? Who the hell else will they put on the cover? Soriano/Byrd?

Castro is still the face of the franchise.

Teammate Alfonso Soriano also talked to Castro, spending more than one month with the infielder at the Cubs' training facility in the Dominican Republic.

They should consider adding a class at the MLBPA rookie seminar taught by Soriano on how to safely bang groupies.
