The Football Outsiders Almanac has the Bears opponents this season at -5.7% DVOA, the easiest schedule in football by the measure.

Which is nuts when you consider 25% of our schedule is against Green Bay and Detroit.

Yeah, but we get to play some soft divisions. Also, looking at our schedule, 5 of our last 7 games are divisional games....that's really odd scheduling. Is the NFL purposely trying to put more divisional games later?

Pretty sure it was last year (or within the last few seasons) they put this in and that was their reasoning. To have more meaningful games late (think it's their best attempt to keep teams from sitting guys weeks 16/17 and keep the races lasting longer) and hopefully have divisions decided in the last few weeks and potential head-to-head matchups of do or die games.

Yeah, and Tice doesn't really use FB's. He just doesn't fit in. He's good at what he does, the Bears just don't need it.

Brittan Golden tweeted that he's been released.

Biggs says Bears will part ways with Xavier Adibi, though not yet official.

We got Brian Price from then and now Okoye back. That's payback for when they fleeced us on Gaines Adams, lol

It sounds like Okoye would be limited due to his knee early on and TB wasn't willing to wait through that. I guess the Bears are?

Lorenzo Booker wins the 3rd RB job. Allen released. That's the right call, imo.

McCown was released per Vaughn McClure.

Allen looked pretty solid as well. Can't really go wrong with either as a 3rd RB/ST, though Booker has an advantage in KO returns.

Bears waive WR Joe Anderson.

Won't be a 3rd string QB. Blanchard will be on the practice squad, and thus is the closest thing we'll have to a 3rd string QB. The Bears clearly wanted to use that roster spot elsewhere.

Biggs also say that the Bears will probably terminate the contract of McCown.

Played well enough to get a job somewhere, I would think.

Def. That's why we had to go with Blanchard for the practice squad. They'd never be able to keep McCown there.
