I agree with IPT. The majority of what The Onion puts out sucks.

i don't know if i'd say a majority. some of it surely sucks, though.

i think saying a majority of it sucks is just being a steel-can-beer-drinking hipster.

Your just jealous cuz you can't have any

Let's not forget that in both 2010 and 2011, the offense didn't really click until the interventions with Martz. Martz was stubbornly trying to call games in a way that our personnel could not handle and Lovie had to rein him in.

True, although when pressed to make a change, he was capable of doing it. Some of the OCs we've had wouldn't have been able to successfully adjust.

Bears sign former 5th round pick from Appalachian State, S Mark LeGree.

Waive LB Ronnie Thornton

FWIW, I really liked Legree coming out ofthe draft a couple years ago. Believe he had a 10 INT seasonas a junior at FS. Athleticism is an issue jIthough.

"It's a whole lot different as far as the fans. You know, Soldier Field is a little quieter, kind of. I'm used to the Black Hole going crazy.

I'm pretty ok with not being as loud as that murderous lot of thugs.

Dunno if anyone cares, but Chicagobears.com is killing their forums....

The Chicago Bears online community is evolving. Very soon, we will be launching the next version of ChicagoBears.com. The changeover is currently scheduled for Monday, August 27. When that transition is complete, we will be shifting the online conversation away from these message boards toward other digital spaces. We encourage all of our message board users to continue the conversation with us on our Facebook timeline (www.facebook.com/chicagobears) using the Fan Forum tab hosted there (www.facebook.com/ChicagoBears/app_202980683107053).

We also encourage everyone to follow and interact with us via our two main Twitter handles:

www.twitter.com/ChicagoBears for football and team-related news

www.twitter.com/ChiBearsPromos for player appearances, events, contests and promotions

We thank everyone for building this community over the years. We look forward to continuing our interaction with you through Facebook and Twitter.

Sincerely,

ChicagoBears.com

How much interest is there in me resurrecting the wcf or 312 boards to pick up the slack?

As mentioned below there are definitely other resources out there but if there was ever a time to try to gain an audience, this is it. Personally, I liked the season we posted on WCF...I think that was 2007. It was good to have different discussion threads and not have all the discussion pushed into that weeks game thread. I am fine with whatever happens though.

Is he out a long time? Or is this just insurance?

It's a hip flexor on his plant side, not his kicking side. He didn't think it would be too problematic from the quotes I saw, but bringing someone probably means it's still hurting.

Yeah, I'm kinda ok with whatever happens. Other boards are trying to bring in those posters as well, so there will be competition for those posters.
