Doesn't seem too outrageous to me. He got half his yards in games against Northwestern, Indiana, and Arkansas St, and he's not a big guy who has a ton of projectability. The NFL is littered with burners like him.

great route runner, great hands and pass-catching technique, great after the catch, fast, athletic. he's going to be a thousand yard guy in the league.

it's not his fault that he had some noodle-arm throwing to him all year.

That Mullin guy was on CTL a little while ago and said he believes the Bears are still in on Mario and thinks we are the other visit he still supposedly has scheduled. He said there is definitely money left to sign him and McCaskey has told Emery money isn't an issue. The guy is probably just saving face, but hell, I hope he's right.

Dude is definitely saving face.

From a non-Bears focused standpoint though, it is awfully telling that Mario went through all that and left without a deal. Hard to blame him, though.

Nice to have Idonije as a fallback if they can't work something out with Mario. I wonder if they haven't signed Idonije and Okoye yet because there remains a slight possibility of Mario still.

Sure, or another guy like Wimbley

I'm surprised the bears have zero interest in the pretty good free agent centers out there

They think Garza is good. There's some decent C's in the draft too.

don't understand the love affair with Kellen Davis. guy isn't a starting TE in the NFL.

Are we talking about the same Kellen Davis here? The one who can't play TE?

I don't understand these posts. First, there's no love affair, people are happy they resigned him (probably insteady of stupidly overpaying for some bigger name mediocrity). And he absolutely can play TE. It's not a tough position to play.

The #Bears currently are $16 million under the salary cap, according to a league source. They were at about $25.6 million before free ag

Wow, that's a lot more than I thought they'd have for some reason. Kinda surprised they haven't done more.

Yeah, I saw that and thought the same. Maybe we are waiting on Wimbley to get cut?

I think that would make a lot of sense. Everything I've seen from the Mincey story makes it sound like they were dead-set on getting him and almost did but for an extremely last-minute move by the Jags. I'd imagine the plan was to get Mincey so they didn't have to bank on Wimbley actually getting cut or not and now they're just hoping he actually does.

Is this the start of the city of Buffalo's turnaround? If it's good enough for Mario Williams, its good enough for everyone.

Either that or they promised that the Bills will be playing in Toronto or LA within 2 seasons.

Mario Williams' deal in Buffalo: six years, up to $100 million, including $50 million guaranteed.
