Does anyone else think the HD quality on the national broadcast(espn/tnt) blows that away of CSN's HD quality?

The sounds blows it away. It sounds like there's actually people there when it's nationally broadcasted.

Yeah, so if my choice is ESPN/CSN and the announcers for ESPN aren't horrible, like VanGundy, I'm going with the national broadcast. Comcast really needs to upgrade their equipment.

The Bulls cannot find a body to help them for the playoff run?

There has to be a deal out there to make them better.

Rasual Butler's not walking through that door.

I'm surprised the Celts didn't try to move one of the big three for picks/young talent. Looks like Ainge wanted both, but his asking price was sky high...

Pssst when Ainge isn't getting gifted stars from his old teammates he's kind of an awful GM.

I don't recall him playing with Otis Smith

Both funk and king are horrible. King is a dumber and less successful version of santo

Ridiculous. Nobody was dumber than Ron Santo.

And saying "homers have no place broadcasting" or whatever is even more ridiculous. The Comcast games are local broadcasts; why the [expletive] shouldn't there be a homer color commentator saying ridiculous things?

Hey, I'm in complete agreement with N&G

I mean, a guy like Hawk sucks because he's just bad. I understand people not liking King because he's obnoxious, but to say there shouldn't ever be a goofy homer in a local radio or TV broadcast is just doom bonering for the sake of being miserable. Edited by Sammy Sofa

There is a difference between rooting for a team from the booth and being a homer. I don't think anybody thinks local announcers to be neutral. But I personally don't want to listen to an announcer for 2 hours straight that is saying ridiculous things, just like I'm not a fan of listening to a fan next to me that complains about every call and continues saying they're right even when the replay clearly shows they're wrong.

And the local broadcasts are becoming increasingly less local with people watching on NBA League Pass, the games that are on NBA TV, etc.

I know its hard to picture because hes such a tub of lard but Stacey was also a world class baller back in his day. So hes not some random jackass being a clown. He contributed to 3 Bulls titles and netted us Luc Longley.

Also, if league pass viewers have to deal with Stacey then good because I have to deal with that [expletive] who does Clippers games when I chase on west coast games.

Stuff like cable passes are irrelevant; play to the team's audience. And the color guy is there to be ridiculous.

Then King is awesome at his job.

I HAVE WON.

Count me as with Mojo on everything he has said on this page.

Stacey is awesome.

Local broadcasters should be major homers. While I don't really like Brian Davis and Grant Long for the Thunder, watching someone like Westbrook break their brain after he gets a ridiculous dunk makes the game just that much more fun.

Oh and Stacey King is a Sooner, so I kinda have to like him.

When Rose goes nuts in the fourth quarter, hearing the color guy yelling stuff like MVP TIME BABY! WOOOOOOOO!!!! is more awesome than words can even describe.

Is there a King for the Clippers? That sounds fun.

That would fall under being a fan which IMO is perfectly fine. Being a homer (when used negatively) is IMO completely different from that.
