Also, the Mavs don't seem to care at all so far, which is nice as we are trying to shake rust off of Rose and what not.

EDIT: They are playing either Oklahoma City or the Lakers in the first round so there isn't much for them to play for as either team would be tough.

Heat lost so the 1 seed is clinched, no?

No, magic number is 1, as the Heat win the tiebreak (would have better conference record).

Also, Pacers' magic number for the 3 seed is 1, and the Sixers magic number for the playoffs is also 1.

Atlanta loss today means Indiana has clinched the 3 seed and has nothing to play for in the rest of the regular season.

Win these last two games. I want a 50 win season.

Whenever someone says this, I forget it's a shortened season and I think "hey that's not really that great."

What would a 50 win season this year be equal to? A 60 win season?

Who cares. I just want to get into the championship series.

Alright, so the the Bulls clinch the 1 seed. Only thing left to play for in these last 2 games is finishing ahead of San Antonio and OKC for home court throughout the playoffs. The Bulls control their destiny in both. Bulls magic number to finish ahead of OKC is 1, and the magic number for SA is 2 thanks to the Bulls owning the tiebreaker.

It sounds like the Pacers are going to try a little harder to win than they did Monday (when they sat 3 starters and chose to let 3rd stringers start in their place just so the bench could continue playing together). I think they're still choosing to rest Granger though, and I doubt they'll push the rest of the starters that hard either. If the Bulls try at all tomorrow night they should cruise.

Yeah, beating the Bulls tonight would be akin to winning the championship for the Pacers. Is the champagne on ice in Indy?

Playoff situations, now that all teams are officially in:

East

- Bulls clinched the 1 seed

- Heat clinched the 2 seed

- Pacers clinched the 3 seed

- Celtics clinched the 4 seed, but must beat Milwaukee and have Atlanta lose to Dallas to get home court advantage in the first round

- Hawks clinched the 5 seed, but must either beat Dallas or have Boston lose to Milwaukee to get home court advantage in the first round

- Magic clinch the 6 seed with a home win over Charlotte, which is so likely it has a negative mathematically adjusted chance of not happening.

- Knicks clinched a playoff spot and win the tiebreaker over Philly for 7th and have a magic number of 2 (NY: vs LAC, @CHA; PHI: @MIL, @DET)

- Sixers clinched a playoff spot and has a magic number of 3 for the 7 seed with 2 to play, and thus needs help.

West

- Spurs clinched the 1 seed

- Thunder clinched the 2 seed

- Lakers clinched the 3 seed

- Clippers clinch the 4 with either a win at New York or a Memphis loss vs Orlando

- Memphis can get the 4 seed with both a win vs Orlando and a Clippers loss at New York

- Denver has the inside track for the 6 seed but wins no tiebreakers with Dallas or Utah, and can still finish 8th (Remaining: @OKC, @MIN)

- Dallas wins all the tiebreakers and can finish no worse than 7th (Remaining: @ATL)

- Utah loses the tiebreaker to Dallas and thus can finish no higher than 7th ahead of Denver if Denver loses (Remaining: vs POR)
