I know this is absolutely unprecedented, but I think they should take the MVP award away from him and give it to Kemp.

Why?

Because he wasn't as valuable as Kemp. Also because he did steroids.

So and So

Well at least these fans still have the Packers.

But the days of nobody caring about or being threatened by the Brewers are about to return. Their pitching will keep them in games, but they won't do much of anything with Prince gone and Braun being out for 50 games/off PEDs.

i just knew i was gonna get something really great for my birthday this year, i was hoping it would be Fielder, but this will do

Why not both?

I guess I can still hope, there are still several hours left in the day

apparently he was asked about arod doing steroids a couple years ago:

"...The best thing he can do is come out, admit to everything and be completely honest. The situation will die a lot faster if he tells the whole truth."

ouch babe

Please please please sign Fielder within 24 hours.

This doesn't give them the flexibility to make a move they couldn't before the news.

I think he is talking about the Cubs should sign Prince?

Just to stick it to the Brewers a little more.

From the article...

Brewers spokesman Tyler Barnes said Saturday that the team had not been contacted by the commissioner's office and the team had no knowledge of a failed test. Messages left for MLB officials were not returned. Greg Bouris, spokesman for the Major League Baseball Players Association, declined comment.

Since being informed of the results, Braun has been disputing his case. A source close to Braun said that when he was told about the positive test, he immediately requested to be tested again. That second test, the source said, was not positive. Those close to Braun believe that the difference between the two tests will show that the first test was invalid.

Obviously I am holding out the smallest hope ever.

Braun knew he was off his cycle by then. Or mainlined masking agent.

Again, the sad part of this is that even if he wins his appeal, his rep is shot. He won't be banned, but he'll wear it for life.

That 2nd test would have been like a month later... how does that exonerate him? although I have no idea how long increased testosterone from steroids lasts.

The most damning part is that there was a synthetic testosterone.

For the record the title should say,

Ryan Braun tests positive for PED. Faces 50 games suspension.

For the life of me, I can't figure out what it is you're trying to correct.

"tests positive" is no different than "fails".

And a positive test results in an automatic suspension.

He can appeal, but unless/until he does, he is suspended (or will be).

Obviously you need to be educated in how this stuff works.

He has not failed the test yet nor has he been suspended 50 games. The thread says both are true.

If he failed the test he would be suspended. Since he only has tested positive he has the right to appeal the results (which he is) therefore he has not been suspended yet which the thread suggests.

Yeah, which if for the small percent chance he is telling the truth will be really sad for Braun and the Brewers organization.

Keep it up and I'll change it so that he killed a busload of schoolkids.

That he was told was for a movie and that there were dummy's on the school bus, not actual children.
