With Forte out I've got to start two of:

M. Bush at GB

Barber at Den

Gerhart at Det

Morris at Min

Thomas at Ten

Yikes. Well, you had a nice season.

Probably Bush/Barber unless Smith is out for Detroit, then Bush/Morris.

Agree Bush and Barber. Peterson is supposed to be back for Minnesota, so Gerhart is out.

Barber put up 6.5 YPC as a backup against Oakland, but he was just a shade over 3 when he took over for Forte as the lead back. That's probably because the Chiefs were able to play defense as if Hanie were a bigger threat to the Bears than to the Chiefs. Denver will do the same and will likely see the same success. If he's the only other starter you have besides Bush (if Peterson and Smith are playing), then I guess go with Barber. Keep an eye on Smith's progress though. If he's limited in practice all week, then Morris could still be a better choice even if Smith plays.

Frank Gore didn't look so hot this weekend. I'm toying with the idea of sitting him. I have to choose two of:

Gore (against Ari, who just shut down Demarco Murray)

Laurent Robinson

Steve Johnson

Julio Jones (I'm already starting Roddy White, so Jones would be a handcuff play)

Mike Williams (TB version) and Roy Helu could also be options, depending on how the waiver claims go. Thoughts?

Start Gore either way. Arizona shut down Murray because the Cowboys played Felix Jones a lot. As for the other spot, play Helu if you get him, if you don't go with Johnson I guess.

The positions are RB/WR and WR, so I can't pick Gore and Helu. Going with Johnson, I've got

McCoy

Murray

Gore

Roddy White

Steve Johnson

with Helu, Mike Williams, Laurent Robinson, and Damian Williams on the bench.

Might want to consider Laurent Robinson. The Giants pass D is really struggling right now. Granted, they've played New Orleans and Green Bay the last 2 weeks, but they also gave up 250+ yards to Vince Young and Alex Smith right before that.

I don't know that I'd bench anyone you have, though. But Stevie Johnson is the first I'd consider.

Robinson had to go to the locker room with trainers before the end of the first half this weekend (though he returned in the 3rd quarter and caught another pass or two), and now he's listed as questionable and being limited in practice. Plus, Miles Austin is coming back and getting positive reports about his outlook for Sunday. I'll have to keep an eye on both of them.

Mike Williams has been more productive than Steve Johnson lately, but after the way the first ten weeks went for him, I can't imagine starting him unless everyone else gets hurt.

Didn't know that about Austin. And I just assumed Robinson would play because he did finish the game last week. That lineup you have will be fine either way.

Tebow. His fantasy numbers have been pretty consistently good-not-great since he took over, and since the Bears don't know what to do with the ball on offense, that really reduces the concern over facing their defense. It's been 6 weeks since Vick has done anything productive (2 mediocre weeks before missing 3 for injury). Tebow makes it safe to wait and see on Vick's return. He has a lower ceiling, but he's less of a risk to settle for a sub-15 day. Plus, with Tebow, your fantasy defense will inexplicably play better too.

Ok, Im in flex spot hell for this 1st round of playoffs. With Andre Johnson hurt I need to fill 1 of my flex spot and I also need to decide if I'm starting Beanie in the other flex spot.

2 flex spots

Beanie vs SF

Floyd vs Buff

K. Smith vs Minny(if he plays)

D.Moore vs GB(if he plays)

Ingram vs Tenn(if he plays)

Obviously if the last 3 don't play I will have to roll with Beanie and Floyd unless I grab something off waivers. Pretty thin waiver wire with the best options being Mcluster and Heyward-Bey. Or any other suggestions of possible waiver wire adds. HELP!

Also for my D spot this week

Jets vs KC

Seattle vs Stl

If you get Heyward-Bey, I'd probably start him over Floyd, though after Vick got hurt I made the playoffs based on playing the QB vs. Buffalo for 3-4 weeks. So, their pass D sucks, but Floyd isn't anywhere near the top target for SD, so I'd go DHB if you get him. I thought Beanie was banged up too though?

Not only is Wells's injury status in question, but he's going to be up against a pretty tough matchup. Check to see if Damian Williams is available on your waiver wire. He's owned in only 11% of ESPN leagues. He has been the Titans' WR1 in terms of both overall and red zone targets the last few weeks, and they're playing New Orleans this week, so they should be forced into a shootout. Nate Washington (their WR2) has been fighting injury too. I'm actually toying with the idea of starting Damian Williams over Steve Johnson, but I'll probably chicken out.

With your current guys, Wells and Floyd are probably best. Keep an eye on Moore's status. I like him the best of your "if he plays" options. News on Smith and Ingram so far this week has been discouraging enough that I would stay away from both, regardless of how the rest of the week goes. Damian Williams could be a decent gamble play if you don't have a good feeling about your other options.

The Rams are starting Brandstater, or whatever the name of their practice squad QB is. With the possible exception of Baltimore, there's no defense I'd rather start this week than Seattle.

I can get Heyward-Bey if I want him hes a free agent. I have VJax for SD already too, and Buffalo has been terrible in pass D lately. Rivers spreads the ball around pretty good so that is why I grabbed Floyd. However, I was heavily considering Heyward-Bey since they play the Packers weak secondary. Beanie is banged up but has been better of late, but hes playing SF who hasn't allowed a rushing TD all year or more than 65 yards to a RB all year which is why i don't want to play him but my options are limited.

I can grab Heyward Bey and Damian Williams do you guys think those two options are better than Floyd, Wells, and my 3 injured questionables?

Eh, I see that Floyd is pretty hot. 2 straight games of 100 yards. And DHB hasn't played or hasn't had any catches the last 2 weeks. Definitely stick with Floyd. I'd probably start Williams over Beanie though.

Yea Floyd when hes played has been pretty good but just scares me since Im already starting VJax too. Was really hoping Moore would play this wk vs the Pack. Just picked up Williams and going to sit Beanie. Man I hate injuries! lol

What about Chaz Schillens? Seen he practiced for the Raiders today while Moore and Ford didn't again. GB pass D is terrible Id love to grab a WR from Oak but not sure who

I hate starting 2 receivers from the same team. Of course the best team in my league has Welker, Grontkowsi and Hernandez for the Pats, but I contend that will be his undoing in the playoffs.

I would pick Floyd over DHB.

Given my RB dilemma, I'm looking to hit a HR elsewhere. SF is the better defense and better bet to score more in this game, but the Bears might have the better chance at that HR. Unfortunately Denver doesn't turn the ball over, but they do punt a hell of a lot. Going by predicted scores, I'm going to barely lose despite being the higher seed (damn you Brady!).

I'm keeping SF (@AZ) in for now, but somebody talk me into the Bears D/ST.

Pick 2:

Julio Jones (Prob.) @ CAR

Johnny Knox @ DEN

Jeremy Maclin (Ques.) @ MIA

Eric Decker vs. CHI

Deion Branch @ WASH

Jones, Maclin if he plays, Decker if Maclin doesn't.

Kevin Smith basically ruled out

D.Moore officially ruled out.

Ingram officially ruled out

Starks officially ruled out

Andre Johnson officially ruled out

That leaves my bench with Beanie Wells as the only player active. Guess Im starting Damian Williams and Malcolm Floyd Sunday. Yea I'm not going to win...
