JoePa is truly the pope of college football

spit water on my computer screen...thanks

If MSU beats Iowa at Iowa next week we should make the B1G championship game...so I am sure we will lose

If Iowa wins they have a decent shot at the title game too which would be weird because we aren't that good at all.

I don't want to be all anti-Big 10, but it's possible the conference is just down this year.

Stanfords skill guys wouldnt stand a chance against these secondaries.

There are a lot of NFL players in both these defenses.

In that they will be good enough to play in the nfl, or they are already being paid like nfl players?

So which conference has the more ridiculous situation now, Pac-12 or B1G?

UCLA vs Iowa Rose Bowl? This scenario is somewhat possible and may involve two unranked teams (though if the unlikely scenario happens where they would play I doubt they would be)

isn't there some rule with the BCS where they can take a non-conference champ over a conference champ if the champion is out of the BCS Top 25 or something?

I could be making this up

I've never heard of that. Wasn't Pitt unranked when Utah beat team back when Urban Meyer coached Utah? Or maybe Pitt was in the 20's.

Pitt was 19/20 in the AP/Coaches polls according to ESPN going into the bowl game that year.

Ok, it looks like UCONN was unranked in the BCS last year though. I'd imagine that any Big Ten or Pac-12 team would be more deserving than UCONN was last year or any Big East team this year.

I'd guess paying players is less of an issue than allowing a coach to rape little boys in the shower.

Penn State built a special shower for Sandusky to rape kids in.

If the winner of this game were to lose one more do one of these team still make the title game?

I'd think so

I would think LSU should still go if they lose one (assuming Stanford or Oklahoma State lose). They have the most impressive resume in the nation even with a loss

Not if Oklahoma State and Stanford go undefeated.

The thing that could make it interesting is if Arkansas wins at LSU to end the year. Then we'd have a situation like with the Big 12 a couple years ago, with three 11-1 teams who all beat each other.

What if Oregon beats Stanford? I'd think they would then get consideration too. This could get very interesting.

A non-AQ school can qualify for the BCS without filling the usual qualifications for doing so if they finish ahead of one of the BCS AQ champs in the final standings. I think that's what you're thinking of. There is no scenario in which a BCS AQ champ does not go to a BCS game.

I can't see Oregon jumping any of the SEC teams unless Arkansas annihilates LSU to end the year.

Bama's not going to drop below Oregon after this loss and if Arkansas beats LSU on the road, they're almost certainly going to jump Oregon. And if LSU loses a close game to Arkansas, they're going to stay in front of Oregon also. I can't see Oregon doing any better than the Rose Bowl this year. Same goes for Oklahoma and the Fiesta Bowl.

This is assuming one of Stanford or Oklahoma State wins out. If both of those lose once (say Oklahoma State to Oklahoma and Stanford to Oregon), then all hell breaks loose, especially if Arkansas beats LSU. In that scenario, we could have seven teams at 11-1 entering the conference championshpis plus an undefeated Boise (I'm assuming). And that's not even counting Clemson/VaTech or Penn State.
