I can't see any scenario where he is staying after watching last nights game. Yesterday was the shot of confidence I needed going into 2012. Defense seemed to finally full grasp Manny Diaz's defense and played a complete game.

 

Gill seemed very in over his head.

You know coaches are way too enamored with the saving timeouts on last minute drives. They think just because they pick up a first down it's not worth it to immediately call a timeout and they invariably waste 5 more seconds.

 

Now USC goes to overtime with two timeouts left in their pocket. Thank you Vinny Del Kiffin!

 

Plus the WR who caught the last pass needs to know the situation. You've got nine seconds left and timeouts to use. Just get the yards you can and go down so you actually get a shot at a final play.

AU finally got their top receiver, Emory Blake, back from injury against Ole Miss. When one considers that they lost their top 4 WRs to graduation/draft after last season and lost their top 2 receivers this year to injury 4 weeks ago, they were having some serious depth issues there....those who were filling in have 'alligator arm' tendencies...

 

Anyway, Blake caught some deep balls which stretched the field and opened up the running game. I'm feeling a bit better about the matchup against Georgia in two weeks.
