Wow, there are a handful of pretty good (and expensive) seats available for the opener on Saturday. Which I could drive up.

By the way, I hate Ticketmaster, but really like the feature where it shows you the seat map and exactly which seats are available.

Dammit, I am going to be in Indy for a wedding all weekend, otherwise I'd totally go.

I have seats on the glass right by the Hawks bench for the Winnipeg game next Thursday, and 300 level seats to the Bruins game next weekend so I guess its ok if I don't go to the opener as well.

[expletive] hell, Bolland is always hurt.

Pretty much. He's a damn good player when he's healthy but he's only played in 100 games the last two seasons, and now he has some sort of nagging injury to start this season.

It doesn't really help our already weak depth at center when he's hurt too. Hopefully he doesn't miss too much time.

Especially if/when the Kane at Center experiment fails.

one way or another, we're eventually going to have to add another center. luckily we have enough resources and felixiblity that you'd think we should be able to upgrade at some point during the season. we don't need somebody great or even good, but we need another capable center. Wife wanted to go see Ides of March tonight, which I do really want to see. But no.

So she says, what about tomorrow night? No.

Doghouse. Thanks Hawks.

Frolik still can't finish. I'll forgive Pirri missing a wide open net, but Frolik is too much of a veteran for that crap.

Should've listened to wifey, in retrospect. Quick! Might be able to catch the 10:00pm round of showings.

Couldn't watch the game as I was driving to Indy for a wedding but from listening on the radio it sounded like it was one of those games where the Hawks put a ton of shots on net but they just wouldn't go through. If so it's just one of those games, whatever. But if they were as sloppy as some said on here it's a possible sign that the team needs to gel a bit.

Looked slow out there tonight. Lehtonen was outstanding as was the Stars D. Lots of Hawks fans at the AAC. Tons of empty seats, too. There was some jackass in our suite from Melrose Park who was a Stars fan. Could have done without him.
