Of course, Quade puts in Grabow over Gaub in extra innings...no reason to give him any experience when you can put in a crappy veteran, who wont be here next year, to give the Reds the lead. Got to keep those September callups on the bench when you are 20 games out.

John Grablow. The $5.5 million dollar man.

When you just want the game to end, he's your guy.

Isn't he the 7.5 million dollar man?

Whatever he is, teams have paid better players more money to go away.

Agreed. There's no point in giving him any innings from here on out...he wont be here next year and its not like Gaub could do much worse. But then again, randy bush is sleeping, so I doubt Grabow is going anywhere.

Bases loaded, one out in extra innings and the immortal Jeff Baker can't drive in the winning run. But hey, he hits left handers pretty good.

The Cubs didn't want to bring up guys not on the 40 man roster because they just can't part with John Grabow, Reed Johnson, Jeff Baker, Blake DeWitt, Koyie Hill, Ramon Ortiz, Rodrigo Lopez and Carlos Pena. Really?

This should make it clear to the owner that the front office failed miserably, including Oneri Fleita. So why again did he get an extension?

John Grabow might be my least favorite Cub of the last 5 years. That's right, he surpassed Edmonds awhile ago.

????

I'm an idiot and refused to like Edmonds when he was here. I spent so much time hating him in St. Louis that I would have felt cheap had I embraced him as a Cub. I hated him as a person, not just as a guy who beat us up over his career, so I have a hard time just sweeping that under the rug just because he hits a few homers for the Cubs. Don't get me wrong, I settled on "I am pleased with what he did as a Cub" and if we had to do it again, I would be ok with the signing of course, but nothing he did made me like him.
