Simpson with a scoreless inning. Can't exactly complain about that.

 

Neftali Rosario posting a .364/.404/.591 line after 44 ABs. One other thing worth noting about him is that he turned 18 back on July 22. I'm intrigued.

he's also got 6 XBH in 11 games, along with 2 triples and a stolen base. maybe he's not the stereotypical lumbering catcher. from what i can tell, he's hit safely in each of his 11 games as a pro. i'm definitely intrigued as well... puerto rico is pretty well scouted by i still think it's easier to find a 6th round gem there than in the u.s.

What are Vitters overall season numbers now? Seems like hes been putting together a real nice last month or so?

 

Not exact, but something like .284/321/453, give or take a few points. Definitely enough to keep him on the prospect radar at his age.

Vitters would have a lot of value if he was good defensively at 3B. As it stands now he's really going to have to improve with the bat to be evem an average big league player.
