Maryland's unis. It's like watching a different teams every time a player turns the other direction.

LOL @ Baylor. They didn't seem too concerned about these cherished rivalries when TCU, SMU, Rice, and Houston got left out of the Big 12.

My bad, sorry about that.

Look at this one dude's ballot:

He has South Florida #5, Northwestern #14, Maryland #19, Houston #23, Michigan #24, Oregon #25.

And Baylor 6th.

Even if you think ND is a really good team, USF was extremely lucky to win that game. They looked terrible and benefitted from ND repeatedly giving the ball away inside the 5.

And its funny that the team that South Florida beat that vaulted them from unranked to 5th, is out of the top 25 in his poll. If they were such a juggernaut, why aren't they ranked anymore? Also, Oregon loses to his new number 1 in pretty much a road game and drops all the way to 25th? wow

No [expletive]. Some people had usf picked to win the big east, and I could easily see that. Hard to say how different they would have looked had ND not repeatedly shot itself in the foot (Holtz had the benefit of not having to try to win the game). But I can't believe you'd watch that game and jump usf up to 5 unless you thought they were that good to start the season.

Polls are so dumb.

Mike Hlas has always been a special kind of idiot.

Resume voting is actually a very good idea. It gives you kooky and more debatable results in the first couple weeks, but it's better than the traditional inertia that anchors name programs in the polls.

I like the idea too. I would think, since polls decide the national champion, that it should be done this way.

24. Michigan. The 34-10 win over Western Michigan was halted with 1:27 left in the third quarter because of lightning. What’s the deal with all the lightning in America over the weekend? I mean, that just isn’t right.

I once saw him get beat up in a bar (owned by Michigan grads) for relentlessly arguing (with a Michigan fan) that Michigan was terrible, overrated, yada yada because they only beat Iowa by 4 in Michigan. Well, the year was 1997, and Iowa was ranked top 15 at the time so it wasn't that out of line that it would be a close game.
