Edwin Jackson is not that good. I'm shocked at how much value people attach to him. He pitched extremely well for 196.2 innings in his career (2.79 ERA first half of 2009 + White Sox stint in 2010). He's got a 4.97 ERA in the other 802 innings he's pitched in his career. I've never seen someone so overvalued as Edwin Jackson

I'm pretty sure he's not overvalued as he's been on like 10 teams in 5 years. Then again, he's been traded for some awfully good players.

This. It seems like everyone wants him on their team except the team that has him. I'm sure the Cards will deal him next year to someone like the Twins for Aaron Hicks or something

They''ll have to give him an extension 1st.

It's hard to believe how bad the NL Central could be next year.

It'll be even harder to believe if we're still not in contention for the division in 2012.
