22 Hak-Ju Lee, ss, Rays

Just a step on the journey to the top 10. I really hope Garza can give us at least 3 more good years.

How soon are you projecting him as a possible top 10 prospect? His bat has really come down to earth hard (this isn't to say he's been bad offensively, but his OPS the last three months has gone from .790 to .770 to .758 so far for June), and his defense is still a work in progress. Certainly, power isn't going to be a crucial part of his game, but I would think he would need to show some power consistency to merit top 10 prospect status.

He should get enough time to work on his game, as Tim Beckham is solid enough that they probably won't rush Lee, so perhaps, if his power develops and his errors clean up, I could see him as a top 10 type at some point, but I'm just curious when you think that can happen.

Honestly, I really havnt paid too much attention to him since his hot start.

Keith Law put up his top 50 prospects at midseason. His list has no Cubs in the top 50 or honorable mentions, and no Lee on it as well.

Are you sure no Lee? KingCubsfan in the other thread said he had him in his top 10. I'm not surprised about no Cubs-I'm not sure Szczur would make his top 100, and he doesn't think all that highly of Jackson either.

Lee is #7, in between Mesoraco and Desmond Jennings. St. Louis now has 2 of the top 4 prospects in baseball too.

I assume the Cardinals are Shelby Miller and Carlos Martinez. If so, I'm really surprised Martinez' helium has gotten him into the top 4 of all of baseball.

zach cox?

Zach Cox is not even a top 100 prospect, it's got to be Martinez (BA had him in their top 25).

Yeah, Hak-Ju Lee isn't the 7th best prospect in baseball.

Teheran down to number 12. Apparently that sub 2 era in AAA has turned them off. Miller and Moore are the only pitchers who I can even fathom being ahead of Teheran.

Carlos Martinez has 10 full season starts and less than 50 full season innings. That is some helium.

maybe law watched only his two MLB starts and while watching them, forgot that teheran is 20 years old? i dunno.
