Who's going to be better?

It's hard for me not to take Trout, but I'm a sucker for speed and the fact that he can play CF. What do you prefer, Trout's all-around game or Harper's power?

Hahahaha

If they were both on my team, well, I'd probably just have to walk around in a diaper all day, but I would also be slightly more excited by Harper just because of the sexy power.

But there's a really good chance that Mike Trout adds a little more value, and would be way more likely to sign a team-friendly deal because he isn't a raging prick.

Definitely Harper. If history has taught us anything it is that a douchebag always wins.

yep. harper seems like the kind of guy who everyone would love to see fail, but he'll be one of the best players in the game anyway.

I can definitely see Trout hitting for more power but I'd definitely take Harper.

Just curious to know from everyone.... If you had to pick a player for their highest upside/comparsion and then another for low side, who would it be???

Like for example:

Bryce Harper = Ken Griffey, Jr./Adam Dunn

Mike Trout = Rickey Henderson- Oakland years/Johnny Damon

Just wondering how everyone are viewing these 2 guys... in terms of their potential and what they're most likely going to be....

I'm picturing trout becoming what we all thought sizemore would. Harper could be Jose Bautista.

The low side for both is some "can't miss" flameout we've long ago forgotten, not good MLers.

If your baseball team had 2 elite prospects you would choose to not use a toilet? What a baffling thing to say.

I think its not that he would snub toilet life, but more so that he would need his Depends for moments of uncontrollable colonic episodes.

what, no

for upsides:

Trout – Cesar Cedeno

Harper – healthy Josh Hamilton

Maybe Cedeno when he first came up. I'm guessing Trout isn't planning on peaking at 22.

Cedeno had a nine-year prime of .293/.362/.467 where he averaged 29 2B, 16 HR, 49 SB (131 games) to go with 5 GGs in CF and 5 top-25 MVP finishes, before injuries marginalized him

Trout's upside exceeds that only for duration, if he's actually able to sustain health over his career, which not many stud CFs are able to do

he could just as easily flame out early like Erstad
