I'm having a hard time figuring out why Markieff Morris is sneaking in to the top half of the 1st round while someone like JaJuan Johnson is going at the top of the 2nd. If it means the Cavs can nab Johnson, that's awesome, but I still don't understand it.

Markieff is a much better rebounder and much stronger.

I guess, doesn't seem to be that marked a difference to me. Seems to me that Markieff is a backup 4, and Johnson could maybe be more than that, but probably will be at least a backup 4 too. We're talking about Markieff barely being outside the lottery and Johnson not getting a guaranteed deal. That seems kinda nuts to me, but I've been wrong before.

Rumor that Sacramento is looking to deal the #10 and Salmons for Tony Parker and Richard Jefferson. The Spurs put this deal out early today and its legitimate, they've said they want to move into the mid-lottery as long as the other team agreed to take on RJeff's contract.

I really hope the draft turns into teams dumping the terrible contracts they signed last offseason. Last off-season was probably my favorite non-Celtics based event of the NBA season, tonight could be like a mini-version of that.

I would figure that Atlanta has to do something. They can't win with that roster, and they can't build with Horford, Smith and Johnson's contracts.

Yeah I don't know how successful those teams will be though. There's certainly plenty of talk about big contracts being out there. Yesterday I read that Andrew Bogut was available. Things could get crazy though, there's always that potential on draft night.

Definitely. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see Smith moved tonight.

Me too. You can't move Johnson, and Horford is more valuable than Smith. This is going to be a pretty exciting night considering how bad the draft is.

Supposedly Chicago might be in talks with Charlotte to move up and take Marshon Brooks.

Also, Jazz in talks to move to #8 to draft Jimmer.

Atl still in talks with Minny to trade Smith for the #2 and draft Enes Kanter.

Where are you getting this?

Follow Adrian Wojnarowski and Chad Ford on twitter mostly. Plus, I post on a Pacers board that has people following things, their local radio stations and tv and other twitters.

There's actually more rumors that I'm not posting.

I can't recall San Antonio sounding so aggressive before. That playoff bouncing really shook things up down there.

Ford thinks the Raptors take Biyombo at 5. Makes sense since they need the defensive help with Bargnani on the floor.

There's also facebook chats and what not going on, if anyone finds a good one let me know. I got Ford's open but I heard a Stuart Scott commercial and got scared.

A swap of PGs -- Andre Miller from Portland to Denver for Ray Felton -- "looks like it could happen," source says

Portland (21) and Denver (22) also would swap first-rounders in Miller-Felton deal, source says

I want no part of Marshon Brooks, thanks.

Not at #9, but at #28 or #30? Hell yeah.

I don't even like him there. His stats were boosted by Providence's fast pace, coupled with the fact that he played almost every minute for them. His efficiency was subpar, and he's not really young among the draft prospects. I don't want the Bulls to be the team that takes him in the first round.

Second, though, sure.

The 3-7 picks of this draft will look hilarious in a few years

Edit: more than they already do I mean

Bismak screams bust. The fact Jordan just picked him confirms it.

And hey, that Charlotte pick keeps looking potentially better and better.
