4/30 Cubs (Garza) @ Arizona (Kennedy) 7:10 PM CDT CSN/720

Yay we won. We really won.

Kennedy threw a shutout with 10Ks against the Phillies in his last start so let's hope he's not that on tonight.

Garza is still somehow looking for his first Cubs win. He is hoping Starlin can commit less than 3 errors tonight.

Looks like Pena has made his way into the casa de pero.

I understand he isn't hitting, but it could be possible the hand/wrist injury (at least I think that's what it was) that he had early in the year isn't healed yet or flared up?

Garza looks brilliant out there so far. I'm becoming more a fan of that trade all the time.

Also, loved Len explaining babip on the air.

Wow. I am just now checking in, and we're really only on page 1 of the game thread?

Anyway, that was an interesting ejection. It looks like Quade had made up his mind that he wanted to be ejected, even though the call was correct to begin with.

At least he got his money's worth.

Colvin having a fantastic at bat.

Been watching the UFC, and turned the game on just in time to see Barney and Castro do their thing. I know Barney can't keep this up, but wow, he's been great.

Who knows at this point? Even if Barney can be an average hitting starting 2B who plays good defense, that's better than most people ever expected of him.

Castro!

Barney is much more solid than I thought he was going to be.

i'm not surprised. i mean, i didn't think he would hit like this (he won't) but he has good contact skills which should translate over well to the majors. he always struck me as a guy who would give you something around a .275 average but not many walks and minimal power, which is just fine for a utility infielder with an excellent glove.
