He's had probably 1 game that bad this postseason. He has never in his career (regular season and playoffs)missed as many shots as Iverson did tonight, and he's turned it over more just once in his career(Bobcats in '09)

 

And Rondo's playing with 3 Hall of Famers and Rose is playing with a SG that wouldn't start on about 20 NBA teams, a black British guy who can't create his own shot, a PF who can't jump/score/defend/do anything, and a Center with basically 0 offensive skills except "tries hard". Switch Rondo and Rose and the Bulls win maybe 40 games this year.

 

God forbid Derrick doesn't care about his shooting percentage because he's carrying a giant pile of [expletive] on his back every single game. On a bad ankle. After 89 games of doing the same thing.

Kobe wasn't in his prime then. Simmons said it well. If teams had guarded Shaq like they do Dwight in the playoffs he'd have put up 50/20 every game.

 

There's a good reason why Dwight's team has gotten appreciably worse as his offensive numbers got prettier. He's a dominator but he can't win a game by himself like a prime Shaq or Hakeem did.

i didn't know all bulls fans had to share identical opinions. this is an interesting development.

 

i think people are starting to sell the rest of the bulls short at this point. the main reason the bulls won 62 games was their lights out defense. rose didn't have much to do with that.

 

the main thing is that, at some point, the bulls should be able to get a shooting guard that can actually create offense.

Luol Deng can create his own shot. He can't do it as well as the elite guys, but he can. He's been quietly very solid in these playoffs.

 

If Rose is going to take 27 shots a game, he'd better make damn sure 15+ of them aren't from outside 15 feet like he's doing now. If he's worried about the ankle, he needs to be a facilitator for Noah, Boozer, Gibson, etc.

He also needs to quit playing like an idiot. I'm tired of seeing Rose try to fire passes in between 3 people to guys like Boozer and Noah who don't have the best hands in the world. His attempt to spin-move around Teague at the end of the 3rd rather than just dribble past him as he easily could have was completely ridiculous.

Luol Deng's a fine player and a terrific piece but he is not a secondary ball handler. Watch us get OJ or Afflalo or someone like that and they'll murder playing off of Rose.

iverson was a chucker, everyone knows that. of course, when you play on a team with supporting "stars" like theo ratliff, aaron mckie, tyrone hill, george lynch, keith van horn, an obese derrick coleman and a 75 year old dikembe mutombo, can you really blame him? who else on those teams was going to create any offense?
