Of course there was...Thomas Diamond is starting for Iowa today and he's on the 40 man. But for some reason the Cubs braintrust decided that their crappy middle reliever with a 5 ERA in his minor league career with an arm that could go for maybe 3 innings was the best option.

i'm pretty sure i'll be back sometime this season, i just havent been very excited about the cubs for a couple years and i just cant afford to commute back and forth from NC for crappy baseball

I'm going to Wrigley on May 7th. First trip since a Cubs-Sox game in 1999! Strange but true. Never really intended to stay away that long. I attended many games during the 90's.
