So many empty seats...

Good. That's what the Ricketts get for setting 1,000 pricing tiers, not generating much excitement, and having a generally crappy team.

As fans, let's hope this doesn't bite us in the ass when they cry poor and don't sign Pujols.

DeWitt is starting? About time.

Truly, a great injustice has be corrected.

Darwin Barney getting regular starts is indeed an injustice.

So is acting like Blake DeWitt is good enough to warrant being upset about starting Darwin Barney.

I'm pretty sure he'd OPS a good 100 points higher over a full-season.

If they showed any commitment to building the triangle building or funding any substantial repairs at Wrigley with their own money, people may be more interested.

Instead, they thought they had the golden goose and could do anything they want and keep raking in the money and still ask the government to pay for the repairs.

It's not the fans fault they overpaid for a bad team with a ton of bad contracts and an outdated stadium.

And be between 10 and 20 runs worse in the field.

The radio broadcast just isn't the same without Ronnie. :(

Today is my first time listening to the radio booth. I agree, but I do really like Keith.

It's not the Ricketts' fault that most of the fans are so impatient.

I'm not faulting anyone for not buying tickets or not showing up to games, but anyone who thought it wasn't going to take the new owners a good 3-5 years to truly start flipping this around with as many different things as they need to juggle was just fooling themselves.

I feel the same way. I listened to a broadcast for the first time yesterday. Moreland isn't bad at all by any means. Nothing can replace Ron though, It's just that " something is missing" feel when listening.

I like him too, but the booth is missing something. I heard a clip of Pat calling the hit to take the lead yesterday on ESPN Radio and I kept waiting to hear Santo yelling "Yes!" and cheering in the background. Moreland didn't even make a sound.

DeWitt is a 3rd baseman playing a position higher up on the defensive spectrum and getting awful reviews from all involved.

Barney is a defense-oriented shortstop playing down the defensive spectrum and getting great reviews.

What am I missing?
