Are we limiting how much time someone has to make a pick when it is their turn? The draft is currently set up as extended online and there is no set length of time to make the pick.

In the past the limit has been 24 hours, although we've encouraged owners to pick sooner if possible.

i'll be at fitch/hohokam most of the morning/afternoon tomorrow. so unless my turn comes up before i leave in the morning, i probably won't make my pick (i think i'm the 14th pick) until i get back to the hotel at 5 pm or so AZ time.

I think there should be patience in the first two or three rounds - I don't think anyone wants to auto-pick those slots. Especially starting on a Monday - just think of it as better than waiting until the next weekend to start.

This method of drafting is not as exiting as the one day affair, but it is certainly more equitable.

We had to reset the draft room this morning to get Butler to show up. Because the draft was reset, the queues got eliminated.

I think Hamels is at the point where he is going to be the better pitcher. Haren has lost velocity and he has pitched a heck of a lot the past six seasons without injury. I think the train is going to leave the tracks this year.

 

Zimmerman made more sense for me than Teix. I already have Pujols at 1B. Yes, I could have player Teix at U but I can get anyone there. Plus the market left for 3B in this league is pretty much crap after Zimmerman.

Zimm was a clear #1 at 3B, but I'm happy enough with the depth available at 3B that I'll probably wait until 33 to pick one. On the other hand, I don't think anyone would challenge Teix for your U spot. Having an offense based around Pujols & Teix would have been too good for me to pass up.
