I assume Jay Cutler got engaged because apparently Kristen C. sure did (based on Jorge Arangure on Twitter).

 

 

She just discovered Jay will likely survive now. So the answer is yes. :)

Everything I've read says he's not really an LT, which is why I preferred Sherrod.

 

But I think this guy is going to be a stud on the right side, so I'm quite pleased.

 

i think he's an LT, i really do, and that's where he'll play bookended by webb on the right side.

Yea, I don't know if this guy is a LT or TR, but if he was the best OL available, he was the right pick. Its not like we really have any OL position set in stone into the future.

 

yeah, at the very least he's the RT for a long time.

carimi is not chris williams.

 

True, Williams went at 14 and was practically a lock to be off the board by 20. Carimi probably does have a more impressive resume, but I'm just saying.

I was hoping they would show Carimi getting the call. I can't imagine growing up in Wisconsin that too many of his family and friends were thrilled about him going to the Bears.

Gotta get one, maybe two more OL in this draft. A center would be nice. Wouldn't mind trading up in the second to snag Marvin Austin though.

 

I think Angelo will snap back into D mode and start picking up his usual positions...

 

For the record, I'm with you -- I wouldn't mind trading up to take Austin if we get around the mid 2nd or so and he's still there.

williams was also severely injured when we drafted him. now, carimi may be severely injured as well, but that remains to be seen.

You think Carimi fell because of a secret injury?

 

I think it's more likely because some guys just fall, due to teams picking other priorities/players. And this year was bound to have a few weird things happen.

 

At least I hope that's why...

Biggs isn't as certain that Carimi is a LT. He thinks Webb could move there. No!!!!!!!!

 

Assuming Carimi has to play RT, I think I rather have Omiyale at LT than Webb.

Yeah, what we really need to do is rebuild the entire line, starting with studs at both tackle positions. If Carimi is our stud RT for a decade, that's fine. We still need another OT, and always did need another OT.

 

This was always an entire rebuild operation.
