Okay. Couple of quick things to keep everyone informed of what is going on.

I'm going to bring Truffle Shuffle in to take over the abandoned team.

Tim and I are coordinating a keeper list for both Juan's team and Kevin's team. I have already placed keeper tags on the rosters for those two teams for Tim to look over. I'm fine with anyone else offering up their two cents worth if they feel like doing so. If Juan shows up before the deadline, he's free to change it to whatever he wants. Not sure why he hasn't checked in though.

Shane still needs to mark his minor leaguers as keepers. Shane also hasn't been getting league messages because he changed his email address. If anyone else isn't getting league messages, please make sure you have the right email address marked on the Roadkill site.

Check the message board on Roadkill for recent messages and make sure you have it set up to receive emails from the message board. That way everyone is notified of important info that is being announced. I only happened to catch Shane in a PM when I saw him on NSBB.

Other than that, I guess we are ready for Armageddon.

GRCubsFan has expressed interest now, too. The first one of the two of them to PM me their name and email address gets the spot. Neither is currently on NSBB, so I guess it's a bit of a race. I'm trying to just be sick in bed today, but I'm really concerned about filling this team and why Juan hasn't been around to mark his keepers.

Some Valentine's Day this is. :D

Good thing I have a loving and understanding wife.

Yikes. I've extended the keeper deadline one more day so that Truffle can pick his own keepers.

Tim, (or any other mod) if you could please grant Truffle access to this forum, that would be quite swell. I'm very tired or I would do it myself. I still need to give Truffle a quick rundown on everything. I'll probably just copy and paste the same PM I sent to Dlocks.

thanks guys. i'm working now but have the day off tomorrow, so i'll read up on the league details and figure out who i want to keep.

as for payment, give me a little time on that - my money is in australia so i have to figure out what is the best way to pay someone in the u.s. $9 without paying like $20 in fees.

No hurry on the fees. Welcome aboard.

What about Pay Pal? I know BBB doesn't do PayPal, but maybe someone else does and you can send that person $9 and that person can send a check for $18.

Of course, I may be the only one that hasn't paid yet. Sorry, I will get it in the mail this week. My wife has the checkbook and it's near impossible for me to get to a post office (do those still exist?).

Your not alone, but I was trying to reclaim my title in being the last one to pay. I actually found a stamp the other day, so thats a good start towards mailing something. I'm going to try to get this out today.

Just as an FYI, this was my general line of thinking with that roster: After I fell out of playoff contention, I dumped most of my high-points guys and tried to stockpile exempt guys in an effort to trade for high-points guys that other teams couldn't afford at the end of the year. However, there's not much of a chance to do that now, so you're kind of stuck with a bunch of young guys that may or may not pan out as players.

You should also have an extra 3rd rd draft pick as the result of a trade.

There is still time for trades. No one has dropped anyone yet. I extended the deadline to tonight.

Truffle, I was working on a trade with your predecessor revolving around Lester for some exempt players and minor leaguers. Let me know if you're interested in talking trade (though I'm pretty busy 9 - 11 PM Eastern tonight so that puts a time crunch on things).

Actually, there are several of us that did regular drops and have our rosters pared down already. It would suck for trades to happen past the deadline unless you'll let me pick guys like Dunn, Phillips, etc. back up in an effort to trade them.

Trades are allowed until rosters are pared down. You chose to drop your players well before the deadline. I extended the deadline one extra day for truffle only. I have no intentions of making any trades, so I really don't see where anyone is getting some unfair advantage. You could have held those players and worked a deal with DJ just as easily as the rest of us.

it's 2011 and you don't have paypal, what gives?

kidding aside, i have a stack of $20 bills from my last trip back to the u.s. that i haven't changed into aussie dollars because the exchange rate for USD blows, plus i know i'm going to need them in a few months when i go back to the u.s. can i just send you a $20 in the mail and that will cover my fees for this year and next year?

Yeah, that's fine. Actually, you get the most leniency since you are late to the party. Everyone else is well versed on when fees are due and have been reminded a few times since I forked out the cash to renew the league.

What kinds of penalties should be assessed to managers who don't submit their fees by the start of the draft?
