Calling a timeout when there's limited time left, your opponent is substituting, and in general it behooves you to move quickly on the call. Not a good decision.

 

In Andys defense, he called it early, so the TO wasnt a terrible move. Still saved the 25-ish seconds they would have used by huddling/being confused/running a play.

 

Of course ideally you aren't confused, and run a QB sneak before the D is set up for an easy TD. But not everyone can be Bill Belichick
