Whatever, at least we didn't get blown out. Rodgers probably wins the game tonight. Win the next two weeks and we're in. That's all that matters now.

congrats on winning the super bowl.

ugh, when will this horrible bears luck end???? woe is me!

seriously bears fans, this thread is an abortion. and the bears haven't even played this week. you should all be ashamed of yourselves.

we are.

bears will still lose and end up missing the playoffs while the packers soar in the playoffs as the wild card.

?

The north won't have a winner?

THEY'LL MAKE A NEW RULE EXCLUDING THE BEARS FROM THE PLAYOFFS BECAUSE THAT WOULD ONLY HAPPEN TO THE BEARS I'M GOING TO KILL MYSELF.

that was pretty good.

What's the penalty for signaling for a timeout when you don't have any? Do the refs simply ignore it? Is it a 5 yard penalty? 10 second runoff with under a minute in the Half?
Posted
The first time out was terrible? We had to get the ball back first. There was 4 min to go, had to stop the clock. And Flynn after the completion ran around like a chicken with his head cut off.

I'm talking about the first timeout on the final drive. In other words, our second timeout of the half.

He did the same thing last week. He burned that timeout way too fast right after a first down, and we blew it at the end. I would think coaches would learn from their mistakes, but he apparently didn't over the week.

Well, that would certainly only happen to Sulley's teams

Oh well, still in control of our playoffs hopes. Just get in.

and fire McCarthy as soon as we lose.

We'll lose to the Giants by a FG or by four points. It's in the cards.

2-16 in games decided by 4 points or less, dating back to his first season at the helm in 2006. Yep, he's a great coach.

Urgh ... the Packers just seemed to lackadaisical at the end of the game there. Too much taking their sweet time instead of showing some urgency. Just horrible end game management. Matt Flynn was great though, you don't put this loss on him. Need some help from the Vikings here.

Despite losing, thanks to other game results, Pittsburgh clinched a strength of victory tiebreaker over enough teams to have clinched a playoff spot today.

Besides that game, it was a pretty good day. Go Vikings tomorrow. However, I doubt Joe Webb is scaring anyone.

It was a great day. We came into the day needing help to control our own destiny. We got the help that we needed.

Just win the final two games.

you shouldn't accuse erik of neglecting his children.

I don't think ignoring you when you do this could ever be construed as "neglect"

I'd be interested into knowing Flames24rulz's thoughts on this McCarthy quote re: time management and the 4th and 1

"I thought Matt handled it properly"

lol

That's all that needs to be said. Six losses this year. The margin of defeat in those six losses? 3, 3, 3, 3, 4, and 4.

If the Giants or Bears are within striking distance late, we're fucked.

If the Giants or Bears are within striking distance late, we're [expletive].

this is sig worthy

Do it. I'll be correct.

Its totally true. I've got to think that the ATL game was in McCarthy's head tonight, which is why we were lollygagging it around the 40 yard line before the two minute warning. Absolutely infuriating.

Dilfer pointed out the coaching staff deserved credit for getting Flynn ready. I agree with that. MM is great during the week, but now we need a guy who wins on gameday. Back the money truck up for Gruden.
