With the Giants and Packers possibly winning and one of Philly or the Bears winning and the Saints already winning this, I'm starting to think that 11-5 is going to be necessary to secure a playoff spot in the NFC.

It could be

1. 8-3 ATL

2. 8-3 Phi

3. 8-3 GB

4. who cares SEA

5. 8-3 NO

6. 7-4 TB/NYG/CHI

Atlanta should have milked the clock even more.

John L. Smith looks like Steve Martin.

I agree. Green Bay and the Bears will both likely lose to the Patriots. The season will most likely come down to the finale at Lambeau.

It's amazing how some teams just can't get out of their own way. The Bills had an easy chance to at least tie the Steelers, and a tipped ball gets intercepted.

If it's not the Bills? Probably drops harmlessly and the game is tied.

They've got one more shot to get into FG range and tie it here. Let's see how the football gods conspire to destroy them.

This is getting far too common. Rodgers does something great in the fourth. Than we go out there and crap it away. Fire McCarthy, the John Gruden era can't come fast enough.

McCarthy wasn't the one who grabbed a facemask at the absolute worst time.

Gus Johnson doing the Raiders game. Love it.

I don't think McCarthy is even close to being in trouble.

I agree, I'm just sick of the awful play calling and terrible game management. His record in close games is atrocious. Get someone in there who can win close games, and we could be looking at a Lombardi trophy with Grant, and Finley coming back next year.

You're upset, which is understandable, but if you want to hang this loss on someone you should hang it squarely on the idiot who committed one of the most obvious, blatant facemask penalties I have ever seen in over 30 years of watching football -- and at the very worst possible moment imaginable.

Favre just ran for a first down on 3rd and medium and then started jumping around and fist pumping like a [expletive] douche. How has no one gone helmet to helmet on him yet?

That was one where a celebration was deserved. He hasn't scrambled in years but that clinched the game so they could run out the clock. The whole sideline was going nuts and jumping on him. It wasn't just a routine 1st down.

Glad for Leslie to get the win. Tough spot because I want a top 10 pick and Mallett but I want Frazier to get the job.

I can't wait until some idiotic talking head blames Rodgers for another close L.

Four losses this season, all on the very last play of the game for the winning team. I don't think I've ever seen a season like this. Just beat SF and Detroit the next two weeks, and we should be fine. I still think we can beat any team in the league.
