What a horrific call by the Cardinals right there. Just keep playing back and force the Saints to drain most of the clock. Instead they come with a 7 man blitz and the Saints throw the 43 yard TD with 1:49 left. The Cardinals still got the onside kick so they'll likely escape but that could have turned ugly for them.

OK you have to officially be concerned if you are a Saints fan. Playing the same team that they demolished in the playoffs 10 months ago, except without their HOF CB, they look horrible and lose. They are now 3-2 and haven't played one dominating game all season. Drew Brees looks a level below what he has been the last couple of years, and the defense is really inconsistent.

This really shouldn't be that surprising.

GO RAIDERS GO!

Even more pissed now they blew the Arizona game. Should be 3-2 and only a half game behind KC while being a game up on SD and Denver.

I still feel that if you score 6 points to give yourself a 7 point lead, you should go for two to make it a two score game. Sure, the 8 point lead requires the opponent to make a 2-point conversion, but even if you miss getting the 9 point lead, you are still up 7 and there's a good chance an opposing TD still just ties it.

But since you're under 50 percent to make a 2 point conversion (and presumably they are as well) you're going to go to OT more often. It isn't a horrible move to go for 2 but I don't see why it makes sense.

I dont know. I was in on this convo before. Historically you convert a 2 point conversion 40% of the time. So I think statistically it makes sense to make the opposing team take the 40% gamble rather than you. This is all assuming an XP is 100% chance, which it's not but it's very very close.

Think about it this way....either you are going to attempt to put the game away with a 2 point conversion, which is converted 40% of the time. If you get it, the game is over. So you have a 40% chance of the game being over if you go for two.

Or you are going to give that opportunity to the opponents. If they don't convert their 40% gamble, then the game is still over (I'm assuming this argument is only valid in late game situations). So if the opponent scores a TD, you have a 60% chance of the game being over.

60% vs. 40% I take the 60%

Always a welcome sight.

Nice win today, Raiders

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/10/10/report-moss-brady-had-to-be-separated-in-locker-room/

Brady reportedly expressed disappointment with Randy's behavior, and Brady told Moss that he should cut his beard. Moss responded by telling Brady to cut his hair, saying (per Casserly) that Brady looks like a girl.

I didn't realize they were 12 year old girls. In Randy Moss' defense, Tom Brady's hair was looking Bieberesque.

EDIT: Didn't realize it was posted a few pages ago. Still, it's worth a re-post.

If I was a Saints fan I think my level of concern would be heavily tempered by seeing my team win the Super Bowl within the current calendar year. Precious few teams manage to repeat anyways.
