I have no words for this:

Works for any team he bounces to next, I guess.

Well, I think they have them for all teams, including an Urlacher jersey (yikes).

But it does. A sound investment at $99.

I actually like the look of camo. Maybe it's the southern roots. I don't wear any, but it's cool looking.

That's what he wears when he goes out hunting with Jared Allen.

Miami Dolphins - Baltimore Orioles

What?

A one time upper class organization that has been pretty crappy for a while now whose last really successful era was in the 70's? Kind of fits. Not sure who else is better.

Kind of I guess, but the Orioles current level of crappiness is so far beyond the Dolphins it's not even really worth talking about. The Dolphins have had a losing record 4 of the last 6 years, which is terrible for them (you have to go back to '88 and then '76 to find another Dolphins losing season) but the Orioles haven't had a winning season since 1997. But yes, both franchises were at their best in the 70's, for whatever that's worth. I get that it would be hard to make a good match and all.

Yeah like you said its hard to match every team up perfectly. They are as close of matches as I can find for each other. Like Jersey said, successful in the 70s with sporadic success in the 80's. In the 90's they were good consistently (moreso for the Dolphins), but never could get over the hump. Then both have had disappointing decades in the aughts (moreso for the Orioles). I was also thinking that both have underrated passionate fanbases.

Wait, you would rather have him sober than hammered while he's hunting with Favre?

Somebody has to throw the interception to end the season.

Blackouts all over! Or at least all over California.

The NFL doesn't seem to be as nimble as other leagues in pricing tickets. When the Blues suck here, they discount tickets deeply to get butts in the seats. I don't see the Rams or other NFL teams doing anything like that.

The NFL also doesn't rely much on ticket sales for revenues. Hockey needs butts in seats to operate. The NFL does not.

You'd think if NFL was the no-doubt most popular sport in the country, they could at least sell out the 8 home games a year.

Except for the fact that most people prefer watching on TV.

Not to mention that the bad seats in many NFL stadiums will cost you over $100 a ticket.

I'm just saying, if you're the most popular sport in the country, individual teams shouldn't have problems getting more than 500,000 people to come in a given year

So wait, are you saying Football and the NFL aren't the most popular sport and league in the country?

Bad seats at the new Meadowlands are $150.

Tickets for Sunday's Titans/Steelers game in Nashville are going largely for $100+. You can get into the stadium for as little as $65, but there really aren't that many available for less than $100. Many 300 level seats do go for $100 or more in Nashville.

I'm saying it's not obvious.

What sport do you think is close in popularity to the NFL?

I'm not sure why you'd pretend that's the case. It's very obvious. A lack of sellouts at a handful of venues is meaningless in the grand scheme of how we watch sports.
