I never got the level of hype behind Locker in the first place. I mean, I get that he got a lot better as a passer, but he didn't be come outstanding...he just got decent. I guess the idea of a QB who can pass for almost 3000 and run for almost 1000, albeit in very different seasons, is enticing, but how does that translate into a potential #1 overall?

It's good to see Threet playing well for ASU. That poor guy definitely was not made for Rich Rod's spread offense, but he seems to be doing very well for ASU. ASU is giving Wisconsin a game here.

Locker has some amazing skills and tools but he's so raw and an NFL team would have to invest so much time and coaching on him. The production has not come close to matching the talent. But I don't see why he's considered better than Luck and maybe Mallett this season and I saw some people saying they'd take Locker over Bradford last year.

Exactly. He clearly has some great physical gifts, but a lot of people had Locker as the #1 QB prospect and suggested he could have gone #1 overall in the most recent draft. He's pumped up as the #1 QB prospect for the upcoming draft...I didn't get it then, and I don't get it now. He clearly has good raw ability, but #1 overall? Off of one decent season passing? Why? What's funny is that many of the same scouts/analysts/armchair quarterbacks who were so high on Locker and his career 53% completion percentage would downgrade Mallett over his accuracy. Like I said, I don't get it. I'm much higher on Luck than Locker.

That was pathetic. My confidence in Michigan has gone down every game they've played so far. 6 wins and a bowl game please.

Bowling Green will make it 4. I think they'll be able to win at least two out of IU, Illinois and Purdue.

I just watched Purdue half-ass their way to a 24-13 win over Ball State, and Michigan is better than them easily. Robert Marve can't throw a deep ball without firing it 10 yards past his intended receiver, making him a perfect matchup for Michigan's secondary. And IU is IU. So Michigan will be fine as far as a bowl game goes. I'm sure Robinson will single-handedly win at least one other game for them too.

Guess what? Michigan was 4-0 last year and all they had to do was beat 1 of Illinois or Purdue (they had a gimme against Delaware St. in between) to get into a bowl. They lost every game the rest of the way save Delaware State. And guess what? Illinois and Purdue don't look any worse than last year, and Michigan doesn't at all look better than last year's team either.

I'm telling you it's not unlikely that Michigan doesn't qualify for a bowl this year. I know I'm super pessimist, but the way I look at it, MSU, Iowa, PSU, Wisconsin and OSU are losses. Illinois and Purdue are both probably 55-45 in favor of Michigan, as they were last year.

Jake Locker is having a horrible game. I think Andrew Luck is a better NFL prospect.

Locker made a huge mistake in not coming out last year.

9:30 starts are stupid. There's still 2 stupid hours till the Iowa game.

Well, it's still over 100 in Tucson at this hour. I think the players are happy to wait another 2 hours.

I wish Mallett were a little more mobile but I'm pretty sure I would take him over Locker. It can be tough to tell what he really is because of his surrounding cast, but I rarely see the "wow" throws that I saw from Cutler on a bad college team.

McShay has been the guy really pimping Locker.

Correct. I don't think the weather will be any factor. Should be low 90's around kickoff and drop to the mid-80's. Without humidity that's pretty comfortable.

That's the third time today I've heard an announcer say a rushing attempt was "the most impressive short yard carry I'll ever see in college football."

Cam Newton has an absolute CANNON. Great game

Kid is a stud. I can't believe he can run as well as he can at his size.

Crist sure does like throwing bullets at his receivers no matter what the situation.

he's got a cannon, but the touch isn't there yet. Floyd needs to hang on to the [expletive] ball.

Another entertaining ND/MSU game. This Clemson/Auburn game is awesome as well. Way too many injuries in that game though. They're killing each other.
