I feel like I'd be happy to get 1 point in a game where they desperately need two.

I dont think they desperately need 2. If they get 1 today and 2 tomorrow they are in great shape. Obviously 2 points would help us a ton though

I was relieved we were able to snatch a point after regulation ended. Getting that penalty right before the end of regulation was obviously huge.

Gigantic win tonight. I'll be feeling really good if we can somehow win tomorrow night.

So Todd Bertuzzi's first attempt at actual physical play since the Moore incident didnt go well

I missed the first 10 minutes...what happened?

I am sure you have seen the highlight...he made a stupid hit and got what he deserved.

I think the Hawks deserved to win but the officiating in this game was frustrating. I think the only thing they got right was the Bertuzzi call.

It was very inconsistent and frustrating on this end, too. Poor discipline by the Hawks on the major really cost them -- they have one of the best PP's in the league. When you get a 5 minute PP, you have to cash in.

Hawks scoreless after 1 in Boston. Action was up and down the ice. Hawks continue to extend Boston offensive possessions by failing to clear the puck. I have to watch other teams more specifically, but it feels like the Hawks constantly make idiotic decisions with the puck inside the opponents offensive zone. I have no idea why they can't clear the puck when they have possession and space in front of them.

It felt like they did that a lot last year although I'm sure it's just because I watch them the most. If they do turn it over a lot in their own zone my guess is because they seem to be a team that likes to try to take chances to score goals starting in their own zone.

I will stop trying to pretend like I know anything about hockey now.

Well at least we got 2 points last night. Bruins are mostly dominating the game (something like 27-15 SOG advantage for Boston). With their D and the penetrable Thomas in net, looks like 0 points from this one. Prove me wrong...

Hawks offense sputtering. Hurting from missing Bolly and Sharp. Need one or both of them back. Only 1 goal in the last ~83 mins of action and 0 5 on 5 goals since...Anaheim?

This team is just so inconsistent. One night they look like world beaters the next mediocre. That said, there were a number of factors at play against the Hawks tonight.

-2nd of a back to back when the first game was a hard fought overtime road win over their arch rivals

-Road game (hawks have worst road record of the 8 playoff teams

-No Sharp and Bolland against a great defensive team and a stingy goalie.

That said I would have loved to get a point.

Hawks just 4-4-2 since their 8 game winning streak finished. Not the way to make a playoff push. That's 10 of 20 possible points. Not going to cut it.

Hawks have scored just one 5-on-5 goal in their last 158 minutes of hockey.

And of course Nashville is beating Vancouver 1-0 after 2 periods.

Gotta cheer for Edmonton (over LA) and Phoenix (over Dallas) tonight. Might as well give Phoenix and Dallas a point each already.
