Looked like the early season Hawks tonight. There was no offensive punch at all, the defense had some really bad breakdowns and they had to count on Turco to bail them out. He couldn't.

Hopefully Toews is all right.

Turco played well enough though. I stopped watching after the 2nd period, but the Blues has 31 shots after two. Miserable defense.

Alright I'm drunk but I'm really starting to wonder if there's much of a difference between Joe Webb and Cam Netwon. I mean obviously but if you put Webb in that Auburn offense behind that line with Malzahn as coordinator I wonder if the results would be much different. He was legit tonight on the road against a good defense. Physically Newton really doesn't have anything on him.

[expletive] it. If Maqllett isn't there we'll take a stop gap and let Webb be the future. [expletive] it.

One step forward, one step back. Way too many losses, especially to teams they are in the hunt with.

Definitely the one player you didn't want to lose. That being said though, the Hawks without Toews but with Kane and Hossa is better than the Hawks with Toews but without the other two. And we played well enough without them, I think we should still be fine. The last game was just something that's going to happen every now and then. Obviously we can't afford it happening very much at all anymore, but I don't think you can do much but just get past it and move on. But Sharp at top line center with Kane and Brouwer, have Bolland center the Slovaks, and let the other six keep playing as good as their playing (something like Stalberg/Dowell/Bickell is a pretty damn good third line, and Skille/Johnson/Scott is just something we'll have to live with for a couple weeks).

Another regulation loss, despite outshooting the Ducks by a 2 to 1 margin. We're on pace for about 87 points, as of right now. Yuck.

On a bright note, Toews should be back tomorrow night.
