Well, I can't say I didn't expect something like this.

 

Come on, you didn't really expect a Lovie Smith Bears team to come out looking sharp, did you? It was always going to be an exercise in frustration, from the moment we saw that clownish press conference at the end of last season.

 

the team looks fine, it's just weird turnovers that are screwing us up. we're playing well.

The d has been bad

 

Not that bad. They lost their mojo after the Forte fumble a bit but they were pretty good otherwise.

Great play, but seriously I don't think I've ever looked for flags or something negative more strongly after every positive Bear play.

Outside of all the ways the Bears aren't playing well, they are playing great.

 

what the [expletive]? they've turned the ball over buit they've moved the ball well and the defense has kept them pinned when they had field position. the only thing they're sucking at today has been holding onto the ball.

no i just want to watch them win one game, the two they've won in the last two seasons were blacked out

there has been pressure put on them by turnovers. i don't think they've been that bad, average, but the offense did them no favors.

they have been soft and have done nothing

 

like i said, when the defense has had them pinned, they've been good. coming off of turnovers, they've looked bad.

I love this atdhe website. I'm in Atlanta now and went to a cool little Chicago sports restaurant. But the place was totally packed and I couldn't find a seat. If anyone has season ticket and wouldn't mind giving up their code to watch the games on their computer I am game.

The d has been bad

 

I think the D has been mediocre, not bad. Only gave up one legit scoring drive. Their run D has been excellent save one or two plays. The secondary has been below average but not below my expectations of them. The disapointing thing for me is the pass rush. Save for one or two plays, it once again has made little impact on the game.
