Clothes-line from Hell!

edit: The tag line is NSFW...I removed the link because there is no place for that kind of racism here. Go search it on you tube for yourself.

edit 2: looks like it was removed from you tube anyways.

The best part of a baseball fight are the bullpens running out for no reason. The sight of an old fat relief pitcher slowly jogging to the pitchers mound is moderately amusing.

Check out the classy description for the video.

The internet is so depressing.

yea man racism is ruining the internet good thing it hasn't started happening in the real world yet

what's with the indignation of the marlins' announcers? saying that his teammates can thank him for everything that just happened? if the other team keeps throwing at you what the hell are you supposed to do, just stand there until you get drilled by a 90+ heater? F that i'm gonna fight.

rigs is going to have a nice suspension coming:

“They made the decision to throw at Nyjer—they did and then the question is do we throw at them,” Riggleman said. “I got some of my veteran players together and said, ‘It’s your ballclub, if you want someone getting thrown at, I’ll order it right now,’ and everybody said, ‘No, it’s over.’ That being the case, when they threw at him a second time, then it’s not over.”

didn't he just hit some fan in the head with a ball like a week ago after being heckled?
Yes. He has a suspension for that (I believe it's five games) pending an appeal. After this incident I think he has zero chance of any reduction of that suspension.

And he completely bypassed home plate to clip the Cards backup catcher a few games ago, too. I mean, where did this come from? I never heard anything bad about Nyjer Morgan before, and now he's making Milton Bradley look balanced. Dude's out of his mind.

Baseball players can't fight. Was like watching a fight in the NBA. Volstad should be ashamed of himself for being that big and still getting tackled by Morgan.

I would pay to see what Z would have done to a player Morgan's size in that situation.

But yeah, baseball fights are usually pretty lame. Unless they involve Kyle Farnsworth.

He definitely something like this coming. I was surprised that the Cards didn't throw at him later in that game after he ran into the catcher for no reason.

He stole 2nd and 3rd down 11 in the 4th, so they threw at him again.

HOW DARE HIM, LETS THROW AT HIM AGAIN!!!

Glad I'm not the only one thinking that.

i guess the marlins were peeved that he plowed into one of their catchers and separated his shoulder in the previous game, but too damn bad, that's what happens if you're playing catcher and the ball beats the baserunner. so then they drill him in the next game, he steals a couple of bags and they decide to drill him (or, as it turned out, try to drill him) again. the marlins can thank volstad (and their manager if he ordered the pitch) for the fight and then another one of their teammates getting hit in the 7th inning. they took their pound of flesh in the 4th inning.

but because of this meathead "unwritten rule" of not stealing bases when the game is a blowout, they chuck at a guy for a second time in as many at bats. screw you, marlins. i blame jeffrey loria.

"It gets under everybody's skin, and especially it gets under my skin because there is one way to play this game, and you've got to play with the integrity of the game," Marlins third baseman Wes Helms said. "I cannot stand when a guy shows somebody up, or shows the integrity of the game up to the fans, or whatever. There is no place in baseball for that. In my opinion, you're going to get what's coming to you if you do that.

"Tonight, I think, was the time to show him we weren't going to put up with him, especially after last night. But also, [he was] trying to take the bases when they were down 10 runs. I can't really say anything good about a guy who doesn't play the game right or play for the integrity of the game."

Oh, there was some definite drama queen-ery coming from the Marlins' side, but Morgan has been squarely in the middle of a lot of BS lately.

A tip for all you youngsters out there...when you're down by a lot early in the game, don't hustle on the bases or try to chip away at that lead, even if there are still five innings to play.

I could understand if this happened in the eighth or ninth inning, but it was the fourth inning. Do they really expect the Nats to concede victory at that point?

I don't think anyone's defending his actions, but they got him in the 4th. They had also hit two other Nats players. Why throw behind him again in the 6th?

Pat Listach out there in the middle of the pile ... wow.

not something I'd expect from a guy hoping to become a manager. hops on the pitcher while he's on the ground and holds him down. yikes.

true. but stealing two bases in the 4th inning of any game in which you're behind shouldn't subject you to a beaning. Wes Helms comes off as a dumbass for suggesting that a team that's down in the 4th should give up.
