Incidentally, anyone know why Serrano was demoted to Mesa?

Samardizja is really putting together a solid season as a starter in AAA. His walks are on the high side but he doesn't give up many hits and his 1.27 WHIP is very respectable. It makes you wonder what type of prospect he would be at this point if the Cubs didn't try to rush him and jerk him around the last couple of years.

It would be interesting to see if other teams perceive him as having trade value at this point.

Not with a NTC and lack of options.

Bah, Daytona postponed again.

Archer dominating tonight - 6 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 9 K, 5-2 GO-FO. He's at 85 pitches so he might come out for the 7th.

Batista doing well too - 5 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 3 K, 7-3 GO-FO.

So he got a little tired in the 7th...

Does anyone know where you can get a complete game log for a minor league player on the internet? I want to see how many times this year Archer has gone into the 7th.

Pro Scout at the game I say Hey so how does archer compare to other top pitchers you have seen He replies "He doesnt"

Archer continues to impress. The guy i talk to says archer is #3 guy in our system easily, I love this line "its like he is throwing to blind folded children"

As in he's better than them or not in the same discussion?

As in he's in a class of his own or he's not nearly as good?

he doesn't give up many hits because he's been absurdly lucky. he has a .237 babip. besides a good pop-up rate, there's nothing in his peripherals that suggests he should have a super-low babip. his FIP is 4.34, which is a lot more indicative of how he's pitched this year than the ERA/WHIP he's currently sporting.
