I can respect that, sorry to hash on it so much. Just think it's cool he's having a better rookie year than "future top 50 of all time" Jason Heyward. Just can't wait till someone moves him out of leadoff..

Well, it's definitely debatable as to whether or not he's having a better year.

Do we never use Marshall or Marmol in close games anymore? I feel like everytime I turn on the game its Russell or Berg or one of the other young relievers blowing a close game.

The Cubs want Anthony Rendon really really bad.

It looks like Buck Showalter doesn't want anything to do with Rendon anyway.

I don't blame them but so do the Pirates and maybe the Orioles.

Highlight of the night was definitely Soriano.

We were sitting in the left field bleachers and the fans were giving him some crap but he was just smiling at them. Then somebody started the (for the SF bleachers) standard "What's the matter with XXX" with the section chanting "He's a bum". After one of these chants after the top of the sixth Soriano took off his glove and put up three fingers on each hand, after which he was serenaded to a bunch of "You suck" and "Eff you" yells. So after the Giants scored in the sixth, all the fans put up four fingers on one hand and three on the other. Soriano responded by making a hand motion telling the fans to calm down since it was still early. Then the Cubs scored in the top of the seventh to tie it and when Soriano went out to his position, he again took off his glove and put up four fingers on both hands while smiling.

Much respect for Fonzie for the way he had fun with the fans.
