Wasn't the big drawback with him that he just swings and misses so much. Did he have to learn strikezone judgement?

His walk rate regressed as his college career progressed(and overall production improved), so there were questions to whether he could maintain his improved production with declining plate discipline.

The Cubs have not released many players over the course of this season, but my guess is that 26-year old Smaily Borges batting .224 (with some power) or 22-year old speedster Jose Valdez batting .229 (with NO power) is in trouble.
