Brett Jackson was named Best Batting Prospect and Best Strike Zone Judgment in the FSL

I still can't believe this. Big credit to Wilken and the minor league instructors on this one.

Wasn't the big drawback with him that he just swings and misses so much. Did he have to learn strikezone judgement?

His walk rate regressed as his college career progressed(and overall production improved), so there were questions to whether he could maintain his improved production with declining plate discipline.

Dolis: 5 IP, 5 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 5 K, 6-3 GO-FO

Cabrera: 5.2 IP, 4 H, 2 ER, 1 BB, 8 K. Junior Lake is 2/3 and his got his BA over .270 down in Daytona.

Hatley was horrible again in Peoria. Nick Struck followed him and has done well again - 6.1 IP, 4 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 6 K, 5-3 GO-FO.

Austin Reed with his worst pro outing. Ouch.

Evan Crawford is apparently headed to Daytona. Daytona will need to make a corresponding move. The Cubs have not released many players over the course of this season, but my guess is that 26-year old Smaily Borges batting .224 (with some power) or 22-year old speedster Jose Valdez batting .229 (with NO power) is in trouble.
