I'm coming up blank trying to remember the last time I saw a single that scores a runner from 1st. I'm sure it has happened.

Jerome Walton did it once back in 89 or 90.

Well at this point in the season the only thing Im rooting for is a bench clearing brawl with the arrogant punks on Milw.

I'd pay to see that...

I'd like to see Z vs. Braun, one on one. To the death.

Honestly, Z might be the last person in MLB I would want to have to fight.

Farnsworth?

Imagine having paid scalper prices for this slop. I almost feel sorry for these people.

Almost.

My friend and I always go to Wrigley for a few days each year, and we haven't done it yet this year on account of him being unemployed. He just got his job back last week after a 17-month layoff so I was browsing September ticket prices on StubHub, and bleachers for the Giants series in September are going for 10 bucks.

The point is, scalper prices right now probably aren't too bad.

True. I'll bet many paid back when they were still expensive though.

Not that it matters. You pay, you take your chances. I've done it.

My mind just naturally turns to such thoughts when my team becomes a joke. How much did I pay for this, again? 8-)

Holy Moly! I forgot to watch this until just now. Diamond is already almost to 100 pitches through 4??? Blah. Hopefully it is just first start nerves.

Kind of like Rich Harden in the fact that he'll K a lot of guys, but he'll also walk a lot of guys, and the end result is a high pitch count and a fairly short outing. granted the Brewers have a very aggresive lineup, but I like what I see so far.

Solid 1st start from Tom Diamond: 6IP 7H 3R 3BB 10K.

I'm somewhat shocked that Lou allowed him to throw 122 pitches, though.

That type of abuse is why Prior is on the Orange County Flyers.

Man, imagine the Texas rotation if they kept DVD. (Danks-Volquez-Diamond)

Not much of a surprise considering the bullpen's been shot in the past few days. Diamond's 27, so I'm not too worried about that kind of use.

Would be nice if he would get some of his velocity back though.
