Philadelphia (47-40) at Chicago (39-50). Not sure what channel this is even on.

Moyer 9-8, 4.51 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and AGE

vs.

Dempster 7-7, 3.61 ERA, 1.20 WHIP

Not questioning the AGE for Moyer, but is that WHIP correct?

It sure is.

Only by pitching half your games in Philly can you maintain that kind of WHIP and still have a pedestrian ERA

more than half of his home runs have been allowed on the road.

I'll admit I'm disappointed the game is on WCIU so I won't be able to see it. Not sure why.

Because you are old enough to remember when Jamie Moyer pitched for the Cubs back when it didn't matter whether they won or lost, because the team wasn't expected to be good anyway.

How does Dempster have an ERA under 4? It seems like hes allowed a lot more runs than that.

He's had 5 innings or more in every one of his starts and only allowed 6 runs once and 5 twice. He's given up at least 2 runs in now 13 of his last 14 starts but he's pitched deep into ballgames and never had the disaster start which has allowed his ERA to remain low.
