Silva notched his 12th quality start in his last outing vs. the Reds with a season-high 7 2/3 innings. He hasn't won since May 29 because of a lack of runs. Silva has a 2.90 ERA in nine starts at Wrigley.

Barry Enright, RHP

1-0, 1.80 ERA

Enright will make his second career start and, if it's a good one, will be the D-backs's No. 5 starter for the foreseeable future. On June 30 in St. Louis, the right-hander allowed one run in five innings.

Cubs face a guy making his second career start? There goes any offensive life they showed yestaurday. Sorry Silva, but unless you through a CG shutout, you ain't getting a win.

I hate to sound optimistic because I do not think this team has a chance, but him getting hot may be big for this year. A big 2-3 week stretch and the cubs may be right back in this. Realistically they only need to pick up 4-5 games by end of July to feel like they have a chance.

Was kinda mocking Len Kasper a bit...thats what he said. Of course you cool the jets and stop @ 2 unless you're absolutely 100% sure you are gonna get there - and that wasn't the case.

I do wonder if they touched on whether going to 3rd was Theriot's call or the 3rd base coach's. After he got tagged out, I went and grabbed another brewski.

I agree, and kind of hope this team gets "blown up" but crazier things have happened and if Ramirez is getting hot and lee follows with the way the SP has been a good 3 weeks is definitely possible.
