6/20 Angels(Saunders) vs. Cubs(Big Z) 1:20 CDT, WGN TV

How will the Cubs embarass themselves tomorrow afternoon? Who knows, but it is sure to be spectacular. Will it be an implosion of starting pitching? Perhaps a classic bullpen meltdown. Or maybe, the offense simply wont show up, I know shocking to even fathom. Or maybe Lou will simply trot out his worst lineup to date. You never know with these guys. All I know is that the FIre Lou thread will be in full force by about 4PM tomorrow.

The worst thing is not only is our team brutally bad, but there are so many teams in baseball this year that are that much worse, we'll be lucky to get a top 10 draft pick next year.

Go Cubs Win!

You forgot the most likely scenario which is rack up 3 or 4 errors en route to a series sweep.

No I think the Cubs will win tomorrow, and probably take 2 of 3 in Seattle just so they can put us through some more false hope. Then they'll fall flat again. This cycle has been going on all year. Just lose 15 in a row, please.

Omg, we play Seattle next? Those 2 offenses vs each other could result in a grand total of 3 runs combined the entire series.

Keep sucking, suckers.

Tank for Rendon.

gonna have a hard time catching baltimore.

They're only 11 games behind Baltimore. They could make that up in 2 weeks if we really put their minds to it !!!

I dont know, with the likes of Baltimore, Seattle, KC, Cleveland, Arizona, Washington, Milwaukee, Houston, and Pittsburgh in our way, climbing to the top of the fecal league standings could prove harder than winning the NL Central. Sad but true.

So......not good enough to be good, and not bad enough to be bad. The Cubs are stuck in the baseball purgatory known as mediocrity. IMO there is no worse in sports then being mediocre. When you're good, you're good, and when you are bad, you're bad, but when you're stuck in mediocrity there is a certain delusion within said team that believes they are one or two players away from being good. I much rather be crap then mediocrity.

Now, don't go getting all crazy. There's PLENTY of time left for them to be bad.

I hope so because the Cubs have a history of disappointing the fans one way or another.

True, true, but this might be the one expectation they are up for....

At this point I'm just hoping for a sale to bring in some prospects and maybe a top 10 pick.

They're already in the top 10.

What the hell was Abreu doing?
