Even after the less than steller Cards series, I think this team has been playing well enough that they can smack the Pirates around like they used to, and not vice versa, however, it would be quite Cub like after just taking 8-13 from >.500 teams Colorodo, Philly, Texas, L.A. and St. Lou that wed get swept by these guys.

Theriot finally out of the lineup, and yet Lou puts the guy who has an OBP in May just slightly better than Theriots in the 2 spot.

Ohlendorf has allowed leftys to hit .303 with a 1.61 WHIP in his career and yet Lou still won't start Colvin.

Also, is Cashner going to be available out of the pen today? I wonder if Lou will want to play with his new toy.

Why would you put Byrd 3rd? He's been terrible in May and why Fonenot 8th?

Kind of hard to keep all of the "terrible" hitters out of the heart of the lineup. Lee and Rammy haven't been great either.

I guess the lineup Lou has is fine. My changes I feel were merely cosmetic, but I can even see some flaws in it. I guess there is no "perfect" lineup with that combination of players.

He really has earned more PT than Lou is giving him.

Regardless of the fact that Lou made a big show of vowing to get the kid the playing time he needed and then, without any discernible reason, just forgot about him,

aramis hasn't hit for [expletive] all year and is coming back after several days of not playing, so hey let's just throw him in the cleanup spot anyway.

He hit cleanup yesterday.

And shut up Brenly, Soriano could've crawled to 3rd if he wanted.

I mentioned in another game thread that Lou had no problems sitting Byrd when he was hot, but now that he is cold, Lou puts him in their every day. It is very confusing to me. I really wish the writers had the balls to ask Lou why. Who cares how he responds.
