I don't see what's so wrong with that. Jeter's OPS+ of 98 is pretty bad to the bone. 20 more points and he can win an MVP like Rollins in 07.

The Yankees aren't too far behind the Rays right now, I think you have to rank Jeter high because of that.

Jeter's not necessarily having a bad year, but he's nowhere near the top 5 overall. Heck, Cano might be the best player on the Yankees.

 

Longoria, Halladay, Cliff Lee, Chase Utley, Justin Morneau, and Adam Wainwright all deserve consideration before Jeter, at least.
