It's being reported that Melo is pushing for a deal to be completed before training camp opens next week and that the Bulls are a close second behind the Knicks of teams that his camp is pushing for.

The Bulls are trying to build a deal without including Noah (pipe dream).

So the Nets have no problem trading Favors but we can't give up Noah, while giving him all of the leverage in the world for extension talks. Got it.

I don't see how Noah and Favors are at all similar.

Here's one way they are: Neither will ever be a top 5 player in the league.

So are you saying that the Bulls should give up Noah for Melo in a heartbeat?

I don't think the Bulls are very far behind the Celtics and Magic. Unfortunately that is not the case with the Lakers and Heat.

Bulls should be overwhelming favorites to win that division (you'd think)

If Bogut is healthy, no.

The Bucks

I have a lot of respect for that Bucks team, so while I'd consider the Bulls favorites, I can't bring myself to consider them overwhelming favorites.

That's basically what I am saying.
