To his credit though, Huet's been incredibly classy during this entire saga. A more selfish athlete would have created drama in the locker room, but he definitely took his demotion in stride. I wish him the very best in Rockford/Europe/Some other NHL team.

In all honesty I agree. What is the guy supposed to do, not celebrate winning the Cup? He still put in the hours of practice, still played decent in the first part of the season as the Hawks charged out to a fast start. Still practiced and put in the hours getting himself ready if needed. Just because we didn't see him on TV doesn't mean he isn't a deserving part of the team.

I finally got to touch the Cup last night. Kane brought it to Sluggers and was blitzed out of his mind as usual singing karaoke. How many days does Kane get to spend with the Cup?

My brother goes to school at UW and is holding down a summer job at the Rathskeller. He just called to tell me that he is tapping pitchers for Burish and Co. who are drinking them from the cup. 10 feet from the immortal Lord Stanley.

I'm a little jealous.

I guessed they released the box art on the 5 disc Blackhawks Stanely Cup Special edition box set:

Front:

Back:

In case you can't read the back, this is what each disc will contain:

Disc 1: Western Conference Quarterfinal, Game 5. April 24, 2010. Kane's shorthander ties it with 13.6 seconds left, and Hossa's goal 4:07 into overtime wins it.

Disc 2: Stanley Cup Final, Game 1. May 29, 2010. Kopecky's third-period tally is decisive in a wild, 6-5 Hawks win.

Disc 3: Stanley Cup Final, Game 2. May 31, 2010. Antti Niemi's 32 saves and goals :28 apart by Hossa and Ben Eager give Chicago a 2-0 series lead.

Disc 4: Stanley Cup Final, Game 5. June 6, 2010. Hawks reclaim series lead with first-period explosion and clutch goals galore.

Disc 5: Stanley Cup Final, Game 6. June 8, 2010 (wasn't this June 9?). Kane scores in OT and the Chicago Blackhawks are Stanley Cup champions.

Slightly disapointing IMO. I would have loved to have seen at least partial clips from the other 2 series against Vancouver and San Jose, 2 series that I enjoyed immensely, more than the Nashville series at least. As enjoyable and as necessary as the SCF's were, those 2 series where we came in either underdogs or very slight favorites were as much rewarding as the SCF wins (except game 6). Doesn't say anything about special features or bonus videos but maybe that will change.

In what might the last relevant update of this thread, the aforementioned Blackhawks Stanley cup box set is released tomorrow. Gonna be broke after buying this and NBA 2k11 tomorrow.

I gotta say, I am very disapointed in the Blackhawks box set. The quality of the videos is mediocre at best. Its in standard definition, which I consider unacceptable in 2010, especially when we clearly know there is an HD broadcast out there. The videos themselves are just the original broadcast of the game. There is absolutely nothing else to the set, no bonus features to be found, and all of the games except for the Cup clincher end abruptly moments after the game ends.

Bottom line, these are YouTube quality videos and I could have paid less to download better quality videos of the games on iTunes. I definitely feel like I wasted my money and hope I can convince you to not make the same mistake I did. Stay away.
