Is Leake really this much of a phenom that they feel he didn't need any sort of Minor League experience at all?

FWIW he had amazing college numbers, but many don't think he has the kind of stuff to be very good at the big league level. Now that I've said that I imagine he 3 hits us.

When you're only averaging 6 hits a game...... getting 3 hit just isn't such a big deal, eh?

True, hopefully all three leave the yard again. And hopefully he walks some guys in front of them.

I was thinking the same thing. I guess the Red's couldn't wait for Dusty to destroy him.

Thank goodness I have mlb.tv premium. I started to fire it up with Thom Brenneman calling Jeff Brantley 'the cowboy' and wanted to hurt myself. I get to watch the away announcers Lynn and Bob because of premium though.

No such luck for me since I am in the Cubs' blackout zone but do get the Reds' feed today on the Fox Sports channel. Thom and "the cowboy" for me.

Oh, here we go. Could this be our first of many bases-loaded, nobody-out [expletive] ups this year?

I tried to put At Bat on, and the Pat and Ron internet feed was actually ahead of the TV by a couple of seconds.

Great approach, Byrd.

Only the Cubs can get a walk, a double and another walk with no outs and not score. You'll notice I'm conceding a Soriano out at this point.

This is my first time watching the Cubs this year. This inning looks exactly like last year.

I hate it when I'm right.

Normally, a team is expected to score at least 2 runs in that situation. The Cubs have to have the highest percentage of bases loaded, no outs, no runs scored. Unbelievable.

Why would that be alarming? It should be encouraging because it would suggest that you'll see more hitting if that trend continues.

True. I was meaning more short term. Long term it means we are being patient and we should start hitting better but short term it means we just aren't swinging well (or getting extremely, extremely unlucky).

We have a team BABIP so far of .212. With a 12 LD%.

Nate McLouth and CB Bucknor say hello.
